It's been a quiet Deadline Day at Pride Park today but it looks as though Derby are trying to get one deal through late on.

The Rams are blessed with a pretty decent squad at the moment and that has been reflected by the superb run that they've been on in the Championship.

Indeed, it's also meant that they haven't really needed to sign anyone with Cameron Jerome perhaps the most marquee name to arrive if you like.

The Rams have been trying for another arrival today, though, but appear to be falling short at the moment in their pursuit of Coventry man Tom Bayliss.

Indeed, this news comes via Pete O'Rourke on Twitter:

So far, then, the men from Pride Park have lodged two bids up until this point and neither has been successful.

It's not exactly clear why, either, but you'd have thought that if the Rams are going to go in for him a third time they will have to bid their biggest price so far.

The Sky Blues, though, might not budge at all with us now having less than six hours to go in the transfer window.
