Derby County’s time in the Premier League may best be remembered for the dreadful season that saw them pick up just the one win all campaign, but there are a lot of good memories before that.

The Rams were relegated in 2008 with one of the worst squads to ever grace the top flight.

Before that though, in their last stint, Derby were a solid mid table club and never looked like relegation.

Since their relegation, Derby have flirted with promotion, but always narrowly missed out, with Frank Lampard hoping to put that right this season.

For now, Rams supporters will have to make do with the memories they already have, but live in hope of the fact they could create more in the not too distant future.

Here, we look at the best three Derby Premier League moments of their history.

Do you agree, or are their other memories you have that we’ve missed? Let us know in the comments below.

Derby County finished 8th in 1999, under the stewardship of manager Jim Smith. This will go down as one of the best finishes in Derby’s history.

The Rams had average home attendances of nearly 30,000 at Pride Park, and had some very good wins, including victories over the likes of Liverpool – twice.

in 1997, Paulo Wanchope scored one of the best goals of the last decade or so, against Manchester United.

Wanchope picked up the ball on the half way line, dribbled down the middle, beating four players, before slotting past Peter Schmeichel.

There have only been four times Forest and Derby have met in the Premier League, and the Rams are the only team to win the fixture, with the other three ending in draws.

Horacio Carbonari scored the goal to see off Forest in front of 32,000 spectators at Pride Park.
