With the transfer window set to close tomorrow, it will be intriguing to see whether Derby County are able to bolster their squad.

Despite being linked with a host of players this month, the Rams have yet to add to their current roster.

Although time is now running out to make reinforcements, Derby manager Phillip Cocu has hinted that the club are still looking to seal a deal.

Meanwhile, the Rams could still potentially offload several players who are not in the first-team picture at Pride Park.

Here, we round-up what has been happening on the transfer front over the past few days...

Florian Jozefzoon

Despite starting the 2019/20 campaign as an integral part of Cocu's plans at Derby, a drop-off in performance levels by Florian Jozefzoon resulted in him falling out of favour.

Having failed to make an appearance for the Rams since their clash with Millwall in December, the winger was linked with a move to Stoke City earlier this month.

However, according to The Athletic journalist Ryan Conway, Jozefzoon is now expected to stay at Derby.

In order to force his way back into the Rams' starting eleven, the winger must illustrate to Cocu in training why he deserves another opportunity to prove himself in the Championship.

David Cornell

One of Northampton Town's stand-out performers this season, David Cornell has kept 11 clean-sheets in all competitions for the League Two side.

With his contract at the PTS Academy Stadium set to expire in the summer, the shot-stopper has attracted interest from a host of clubs.

According to Football Insider, Derby are reportedly considering a late swoop for Cornell with Ipswich Town and Blackburn Rovers also thought to be lining up moves.

When you consider that neither Kelle Roos or Ben Hamer have been able to produce the goods on a consistent basis in recent months, the Rams may find it beneficial to take a punt on the Northampton shot-stopper.

Mason Bennett

Having struggled to deliver the goods this season for Derby, Mason Bennett has left the club on a temporary basis today.

As confirmed by the club's official website, the forward has join Millwall on a short-term loan deal.

Given that Bennett failed to score for the Rams during the current campaign despite making 9 appearances in all competitions, a move away from Pride Park may be beneficial.

Providing that he is able to play regular first-team football for Millwall in the coming months, there is no reason why the 23-year-old cannot make considerable strides in terms of his development.
