With the transfer window set to close on Friday, Derby County continue to be linked with potential moves as manager Phillip Cocu looks to strengthen his squad.

The Rams, who are currently 16th in the Championship standings, have already parted ways with several players this month but have yet to add any fresh faces.

Whilst Derby opted to cut ties with Jamie Paterson and Kieran Dowell earlier this month following their disappointing loan stints at the club, they have also sanctioned the departures of George Thorne, Jonathan Mitchell, Max Hunt and Jayden Mitchell-Lawson.

Here, we round-up what has been happening on the transfer front over the past few days...

Harold Moukoudi

According to L'Equipe (as cited by Get French Football News), Derby are reportedly interested in signing Harold Moukoudi on loan from Saint-Etienne on loan with an option to buy him at the end of the season.

Given that the Rams are currently short of options at the back following Richard Keogh's departure, Cocu may find it beneficial to take a risk on the Cameroon international.

Although Moukoudi has no previous experience of playing in the Championship, he has illustrated glimpses of promise during his time at Saint-Etienne.

If Cocu is indeed weighing up the possibility of bringing in the defender, it is imperative that he doesn't hesitate as the 22-year-old has also been linked with West Bromwich Albion, Leeds United and Stoke City.

Cameron Carter-Vickers

Having returned to Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month following a relatively underwhelming loan spell at Stoke City, Cameron Carter-Vickers could be on the move again.

According to TEAMtalk, the Rams are thought to be amongst a clutch of clubs who are reportedly interested in securing the services of the United States international on a temporary basis.

Given that Fulham, Huddersfield Town and Middlesbrough are expected to challenge Derby for Carter-Vickers' signature, it will be intriguing to see whether Cocu is able to convince the defender to move to Pride Park.

Filip Benkovic

Initially linked with Filip Benkovic earlier this month, Derby have yet to seal a loan deal for the Leicester City man despite the fact that he in understood to be their number one target.

Yet with Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers confirming at the weekend that the Croatian international is expected to leave the club in the coming days, the Rams may finally get their man.

However, with Bristol City also thought to be monitoring Benkovic's situation at the King Power Stadium, Derby may have a fight on their hands to secure the defender's signature.
