Highly coveted midfielder Jackson Irvine has insisted that all transfer speculation will be ignored until the summer while he focuses on keeping Burton Albion up, according to an interview with the Daily Football Show via a report by the Burton Mail.

Jackson Irvine has been the subject of plenty of speculation recently but he wants to block that out for the remainder of the season.

The free scoring midfielder, who has notched 10 league goals for the Brewers, has attracted the likes of Premier League side Swansea City and Championship outfit Derby County in recent months.

As well as this, the Australian international was a target for a Chinese Super League club in a big money move but he turned it down because he wants to fulfil his ambition of playing in the Premier League.

Talking to Australian talk show, the Daily Football Show, Burton Albion's in demand midfielder Jackson Irvine revealed:

“I'm quite particular about the information that comes my way when it comes to these types of things with my agent and with the club.

“I don't really like to know an awful lot about it to be honest.

"I like to just stay in the dark, focus on my game and keep those distractions away.

“Things will be said, I'm sure, as they were in January, at the end of the season, as they are for most players.

“You hear rumours, this and that, but until anything becomes substantial or real, I don't even hear about it until it becomes something tangible that comes to light.

“I'll deal with anything like that when the situation arises.

“But I prefer, with seven games to go with Burton, to keep my eye on that for now and when the rest of that stuff happens, then I deal with that when it comes."
