Derby County midfielder Krystian Bielik has taken to social media to reflect on the Rams' 1-0 win over Wigan Athletic in the Championship last night.

The Rams bounced back from their 3-0 defeat to Charlton Athletic at the weekend with a hard-fought victory at Pride Park - thanks to a stunning 92nd-minute strike from Graeme Shinnie.

With the match looking destined to finish goalless, the summer signing smashed home a right-footed half-volley from just inside the box after being teed up by Chris Martin, to give the team their third successive home win.

Bielik, who has been one of the standout players for Derby this season since joining from Arsenal in the summer, has now taken to social media to reflect on the victory.

The 21-year-old posted a few photos of himself in action from last night's game on his personal

/">Instagram account and added a message to Derby supporters, admitting that it was a very important victory.

After just missing out on promotion under Frank Lampard last season, Derby have made a bit of a slow start to their new campaign, but their victory over Wigan has lifted them up to 14th in the Championship table and to within four points of the play-off places.

The Verdict

After their a poor showing against Charlton at the weekend, Cocu would have been looking for a response from his Derby players, and even though it wasn't the best performance from the Rams, it was a much-needed victory.

There's still plenty of room for improvement, but this result has given the players something to build on going into what will be another tough game against Hull City at the weekend.

Derby have struggled for consistency this season but their home form has improved massively over the past few matches and it looks as though it could be key to their chances of having a successful season.
