It could be argued that the international break came at the wrong time for a Derby County side who had recently illustrated some real signs of promise in the Championship.

The Rams, who are 13th in the second-tier standings, have picked up their performance levels following what was a dismal start to the 2019/20 campaign under manager Phillip Cocu.

Currently on a run of five games unbeaten, the Rams secured a confidence-boosting 2-0 victory over Luton Town earlier this month.

With Derby set to make their return to Championship action on Saturday against Charlton Athletic, Cocu will be determined to achieve a positive result at The Valley.

Here, we take a look at social media to see what the Rams players have been up to during the international break...

Krystian Bielik

Since joining Derby in the summer from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee, Krystian Bielik has produced a number of impressive performances for his new club.

Currently being used as a defensive midfielder by Cocu, the 21-year-old could be in line to start for the Rams against Charlton despite his recent injury scare.

Bielik posted an image of himself alongside former Arsenal team-mate Dejan Iliev on

Martyn Waghorn

Derby's top-scorer this season with four goals, Martyn Waghorn will be aiming to push on over the coming months in the Championship.

Providing that the forward can maintain his consistency in-front of goal, he could play a pivotal role in helping the Rams achieve a relative amount of success in the second-tier.

Waghorn posted an image of himself on Instagram alongside Judy Murray at an evening celebrating the tennis coach's foundation in Ipswich.

Kelle Roos

Although it is fair to say that Kelle Roos has flattered to deceive at times this season, the goalkeeper is still expected to start for Derby on Saturday against Charlton.

If the 27-year-old can produce an inspired performance at The Valley, the Rams could extend their unbeaten run to six games in the Championship.

Roos recently posted a picture of himself and his friends on Instagram at a wedding in Amsterdam.

Max Bird

A product of Derby's academy, Max Bird has yet to feature for the first-team during the 2019/20 campaign.

With the likes of Bielik, Tom Huddlestone and Graeme Shinnie all ahead of him in the pecking order at Pride Park, the teenager will have to illustrate to Cocu in training why he deserves an opportunity to prove himself.

Bird recently posted a picture of himself in action for Derby's Under-23 side on Instagram.
