Nottingham Forest, Derby and Middlesbrough are among a number of clubs interested in Newcastle winger Yoan Gouffran, according to HITC.
The Frenchman is reported to be deemed surplus to requirements by new head coach Steve McClaren, and he could turn out to be a coup for a Championship club.
The 29-year old’s availability has alerted a number of clubs in England’s top two divisions, and Gouffran has yet to appear for the Toon Army this summer, and Newcastle will now allow him to leave, on a permanent or temporary deal.
The Frenchman is renowned for his ability to play anywhere across the frontline, something that will no doubt be attractive to a number of clubs, as he can play up front as well in attacking positions behind the front man.
It is no surprise to see Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest keeping tabs on the winger, because there is constant speculation linking wingers away from their clubs – with Michail Antonio being linked with a move away from Forest, and Albert Adomah also set to depart the Riverside Stadium.
