Derby County have entered talks with Arsenal over a loan move for young forward Kido Taylor-Hart.

The 20-year-old, who has represented England at various youth levels, has spent over a decade with the Gunners coming through the ranks as a kid.

However, he is now at an age where he will want to be playing competitive football and that's not going to happen with Arsenal, where Taylor-Hart only gets minutes for the development sides.

Therefore, a loan move could be the ideal next step for his development and reporter Mike McGrath has revealed that a temporary switch to Pride Park could be on the cards for the youngster.

"Arsenal forward Kido Taylor-Hart, 20, in talks over move Derby."

Rams boss Paul Warne made it clear after the FA Cup defeat to West Ham last night that he wants to strengthen his attack before the deadline, even though Derby have been flying in League One.

They are currently fourth in the table and now in the mix for automatic promotion, with their last defeat in the league coming back in October.

The verdict

This would be an exciting signing for Derby as Taylor-Hart is a player with a lot of potential and he could add a lot to the squad.

Clearly, going by their form over the past few months, this Rams group is not one that needs a lot of help. Instead, it's about beefing up the squad and bringing in players with different qualities.

Taylor-Hart would do that and it would also give him the chance to experience a new environment so it's a move that suits all parties if it can get finalised.
