Derby County defender Jason Shackell looks set to make a loan move to fellow Championship side Millwall before the window closes.
The experienced centre-back has played just one senior game for the Rams this season, in the Carabao Cup against Grimsby and doesn’t make the match day squad for Gary Rowett’s side usually.
Therefore, he looks set to leave the Rams and join Millwall on loan for the rest of the season according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The 34-year old has also been spotted speaking to Lions boss Neil Harris today as the deal moves closer.

It’s an area that the Londoners need to strengthen having suffered a season-ending injury to Byron Webster earlier in
That has left Shaun Hutchinson and Jake Cooper as the only real recognised centre-backs and whilst the duo have been outstanding, Harris knows that an injury to either could really hurt his side.
Millwall are in FA Cup action this weekend when they welcome Rochdale before they play Shackell’s Derby at The Den just three days later.
This seems like a very sensible signing from Millwall. Shackell is an experienced and powerful defender and will provide perfect cover.
He can’t get anywhere near the team at Derby so will know he has to move away and going down south to Millwall seems ideal.
The ex-Norwich man will push the current centre-backs which should ensure they maintain the high standards they’ve set in recent months.
