Experienced Derby midfielder Craig Bryson has praised Frank Lampard for helping him improve as a player.
The 31-year-old was completely out-of-favour last season under Gary Rowett and was sent on loan to Cardiff - who he helped to automatic promotion.
However, since Lampard took over, the former Kilmarnock man has established himself as a regular.
And, speaking to Derbyshire Live, Bryson explained how pleased he was to be back at Pride Park and revealed that he is learning from his manager given the position he plays.
"I've basically played every game in the league this season, so for me, it's been good to come back into familiar surroundings."
"He talks to me a lot about my game and if I can't learn off Frank Lampard, in my position, then I'm not going to learn off anybody."
"He's one of the greatest midfielders this country has ever seen, so he's a great role model."
Bryson will hope to feature again this evening as the Rams host Sheffield United in what should be a cracking encounter.
Lampard's men are without a win in three heading into the clash.
The Verdict
It's good to see that even though he is an experienced player, Bryson is willing to learn and adapt his game in order to improve.
As he says, for a box-to-box midfielder, Lampard will be an ideal person to speak to and he has clearly had a positive influence on Bryson's game.
Now, it's about continuing that form and helping the side to a much-needed three points against the Blades later on.
