Derby County will be brimming with confidence after their late fightback against Brentford.

The Rams have endured a difficult period with a five-match winless run going into the clash with the Bees, but while that run was extended there was certainly signs of fight at Pride Park.

Wayne Rooney's side found themselves 2-0 down within 23 minutes but found themselves back in the game after an inspired second half.

Lee Gregory sent them on their way early in the half before a late effort from Louie Sibley secured a point for the Rams.

It's been a hugely frustrating season for Sibley who has been in and out of the team.

The 19-year-old has started just six games in the Championship so far this season with Rooney being critical of his performances at various points this term.

But after netting the crucial goal the talented midfielder couldn't hide his delight after a big moment for both him and the club.

Taking to social media, Sibley said: "Unbelievable feeling!

"Great character from the team - we go again Saturday."

The verdict

This could be a massive moment for Louie Sibley.

No one is disputing the talent that the midfielder has but Wayne Rooney is clearly looking for something more from the 19-year-old if he's to establish himself as a first team player at Pride Park.

The focus for the midfielder will now be on pushing to become a regular feature in the first team as next season will be huge for him.
