Derby County are keen to push through a deal for want away Wigan winger, Yanic Wildschut, according to reliable journalist, Alan Nixon.

Wildschut has handed in a transfer request at Wigan in an attempt to push through a late deal away from the DW Stadium.

Norwich and Derby are to two teams linked with the Dutchman, but it is the Rams who look like they will be making the next move, with a £5 million plus bid being readied, which would tempt the Latics.

Wigan are now seemingly under pressure to sell Wildschut, as they wont want to keep a player who is unhappy and the cash on offer is almost too good for them to turn down.

Wildschut signed for the Latics around a year ago, after enjoying a successful loan spell in the North-West in the opening embers of last season.

The Dutchman has impressed for Wigan this season, adapting to life in the Championship almost seamlessly, and you can see why he is courted by the Championships top sides.
