The Derby Telegraph reports Derby County have shown an interest in bringing Premier League defender Andre Wisdom back to Pride Park this summer.

The Liverpool man impressed during his time with the Rams in the 2013/14 season, when they managed to achieve a third place finish, only to be defeated late on in the Play-Off final by a Bobby Zamora goal.

Ever since then, Wisdom has spent time on loan at the likes of West Brom and Norwich City but, most recently, played for Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, who achieved a league and cup double during his time there.

Christoph Freund, the Sporting Director at Salzburg, has previously claimed the Austrian champions 'will try everything' to keep a hold of the ex-England U21 international at the club.

Still, it has been previously reported that Wisdom's preference would reportedly be to remain in England as his time on the books of the Reds looks to draw to a close.

Indeed, it's also been suggested in the past that Liverpool could be asking for up to £4 million for the 24-year-old, who can operate in a full-back or centre-back role.
