Sky Bet Championship side Derby County are interested in a move for Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori on loan, according to Sunday’s print edition of the Sun.
The 22-year-old signed for the Reds in 2013 on summer transfer deadline day from Sporting Lisbon for a fee of £7 million, but is yet to make a first-team appearance for them after making 12 for Lisbon.
He was shipped out on loan to Spanish side Granada in 2014 and made nine appearances, and spent the year on loan at French club Bordeaux where he only made 12 appearances.
But now the 22-year-old centre back looks set to be subject to a loan offer from Derby County as they hope to bolster their defensive options ahead of transfer deadline day.
The Rams have conceded the first goal in every game they’ve played this season, and now Derby boss Paul Clement is hopeful of finding a solution to his defensive record, despite bringing in Alex Pearce and Jason Shackell at centre half this summer.
