Derby County are reportedly interested in signing French centre-back Harold Moukoudi from Le Havre in Ligue 2, according to the Mail Online.
The 20-year-old made 33 appearances for the club last season scoring four goals on his way and has attracted Frank Lampard’s attention in the process with his club apparently wanting £10m.
But the Chelsea legend has his work cut out if he is to land the promising youngster with Premier League sides West Ham, Burnley, Crystal Palace and Brighton also keen on his signature.
Derby have brought in a host of exciting talent this summer in the form of loanees Mason Mount and Harry Wilson whilst cash has been splashed on Jack Marriott, Florian Jozefzoon and George Evans.
Lampard and Derby really need to be sensible now and prioritise getting some of their higher earners out of the club.
The Jack Marriott deal feels like it may have been done with the assumption that Matej Vydra would soon be leaving for Leeds, but with that deal falling through they will be sailing very close to the wind in terms of FFP.
