Lampard was full of praise for the striker, and also revealed that Duane Holmes could could be in contention to start the game against the Villans.

"His celebrations with the fans and the way he was on the pitch, that’s what I love about him and others in the group.

"He is in contention and as is Duane Holmes who came off at Leeds. They will be last minute decisions in terms of whether they take part, start or are on the bench."

It's certain to be a closely-fought encounter between the two sides at Wembley, in what will certainly excellent viewing for the neutral.

The Verdict:

What a huge boost this is for the Rams.

Waghorn has been impressive since the turn of the year and Lampard needs his key men back for their biggest game of the season.

Waghorn is certainly one of them and he'll fancy his chances of challenging the likes of Jack Marriott and Mason Bennett for a starting spot against Villa.
