Derby County have been boosted by the news that both Tom Lawrence and Kamil Jozwiak are fit enough to start this evening against Huddersfield Town.

Phillip Cocu finds himself under big pressure at Pride Park after an indifferent start to the season has seen them lose four of the opening five.

In the first five fixtures, Derby have scored just twice and drawn three blanks. Cocu's side have looked toothless in attack and enter this evening's fixture without the service of Wayne Rooney.

However, as per Ryan Conway at The Athletic, Cocu will be able to call on Tom Lawrence from the start if required.

The Welsh international had been absent since the defeat to Leeds United at the back end of last season due to a shoulder injury, but returned from the bench in Friday's defeat to Watford.

He's fit enough to start, as is Kamil Jozwiak. The 22-year-old has made three appearances since signing in the summer and has already registered an assist.

Derby meet a Huddersfield side that have picked up seven points from their opening five fixtures, with Carlos Corberan's side impressively beating Swansea City on Saturday.

The Verdict

This is a boost for Derby, even if both don't end up starting.

Lawrence is a massive part of this side and, on his day, he's a player that can unbalance even the best defence in the Championship.

Likewise, Jozwiak is a threat and as he adapts to the Championship, you feel he's going to be a big player for Derby.

Given the Rams' shortcomings in attack, you've got to imagine that Cocu is leaning towards starting one of this pair in West Yorkshire tonight.
