Derby County's Jayden Bogle is attracting interest from AC Milan ahead of the January window.

The 19-year-old broke through at Pride Park under Frank Lampard last season and he was one of the star performers as the Rams reached the play-off final.

And, whilst the team have struggled under new boss Phillip Cocu, Bogle has continued to impress with his overall displays.

So much so, according to 90min, the Italian giants are considering making a bid for the player to solve their right-back problems when the market opens at the start of next month.

They claim that they have been sending scouts to monitor the teenager and that the reports coming back on the England youth international have been positive.

It's clearly an area of the pitch that the Rossoneri are looking to strengthen as it has also been suggested that they are making checks on West Brom's Nathan Ferguson, another outstanding Championship talent.

Bogle played the full game yesterday as Derby fell to a disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to Millwall, ensuring they remain in the bottom half of the table.

The verdict

You would have to say that this would be a very surprising move as obviously going from Derby to AC Milan would be a massive step up.

However, it seems obvious that they are targeting a young, attacking right-back and Bogle has the potential to star at the very highest level.

Whether this results in a formal bid remains to be seen but it would be extremely difficult for Derby to keep the player if a proper offer does come in.
