Derby County manager Frank Lampard has given an injury update on Harry Wilson.

On-loan Liverpool winger Wilson missed the clash with Millwall yesterday but Lampard told Rams TV (via the Liverpool FC official website) that he hopes to have him back in action soon.

The Wales international missed out as Derby fell to a 2-1 defeat at The New Den against Millwall, following their 4-1 loss against Leeds United at Pride Park.

Wilson played the opening two games of the season for Derby but is yet to register his first goal or assist.

But after an impressive stint at Hull City last term, there are high hopes that the 21-year-old can be a key player for Derby and they will want him back soon.

Lampard confirmed on Rams TV that Wilson's injury is not serious, saying: "We were missing Harry Wilson with a small muscle injury, a problem with his groin, and hopefully he will be back soon."

The Verdict

After back-to-back losses, Derby will be desperate to get their best players back.

Once he is fit and firing, Wilson will be a top attacking threat for the Rams and certainly bolster their options going forward.

Thankfully this does not seem too serious and you can expect to see the young winger back in action shortly.
