Derby County and Nottingham Forest have expressed an interest in Ravel Morrison, according to Football Insider.

Morrison is currently on the lookout for a new club having recently cancelled his contract in Holland with ADO Den Haag.

The midfielder made only five appearances for the club, and a return to England could now be on the cards for the player.

Morrison previously played in England for Sheffield United, making only four appearances for the Blades in all competitions.

The midfielder has only played 18 times since 2019, and is now looking for yet another club to add to a long list.

According to Football Insider, Derby, Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town, as well as Turkish clubs, have expressed an interest in signing Morrison.

Wayne Rooney is no stranger to Morrison having played with him at Manchester United, before Morrison moved onto West Ham.

The Verdict

This one is a massive risk for me.

A lot has been said about Morrison in recent years, and his ability to nail down a regular place in the side wherever he's been.

He's been at so many clubs, but it just hasn't worked out for him, and at 27, you start to wonder if he is going to settle down.

Derby could definitely do with another creative player, and maybe Rooney knows how to get the best out of him and he could do well.

I cannot see Forest signing him, though, as they look likely to sign Filip Krovinovic who plays in a similar position.
