Derby County and Fulham keen on securing the services of Manchester United youngster

Sky Bet Championship clubs Derby County and Fulham are set to go into battle to secure the services of Manchester United striker James Wilson, according to The Telegraph.

Wilson is at something of a crossroads with his career and after spending last season on loan with Brighton and Hove Albion he had hoped to thrust himself into first-team contention at Old Trafford for the 2016/17 campaign.

With new boss Jose Mourinho attracting a glut of big name signings to the Premier League giants however, Wilson now finds himself further down the pecking order than ever, with a move back to the Championship looking increasingly likely before the transfer window slams shut.

The England under-21 international netted five goals for the Seagulls in 28 appearances last season playing a key part in Chris Hughton’s team that missed out on automatic promotion by goal difference.

Derby and Fulham are both in the market for a natural-born goalscorer with the Cottagers in particular looking to sign a talisman to replace Ross McCormack who joined Aston Villa at the start of August.

Derby and Fulham fans, would you welcome Wilson at your clubs? Who else would you like to sign instead? Let us know in the comments below!!!
