Derby County and Bristol City are among a number of teams considering an approach for Lyon striker Claudio Beauvue, according to The Guardian.
The 27-year-old, who moved to the club from Guingamp in the summer, has scored seven goals in 28 appearances this season.
However, Lyon have been struggling in the French league this season, winning just one of their last seven Ligue 1 fixtures to leave them off the pace for a Champions League spot, resulting in speculation that Beauvue is looking to move on.
The report claims Steve Cotterill’s side and the Rams are both interested, along with Premier League strugglers Aston Villa.
Derby are already one of the highest scoring teams in the Championship, but they sit just outside the automatic promotion places, while last season’s League One champions need goals, as they currently sit in the relegation zone with the second-worst goal difference in the division.
However, the Frenchman won’t come cheap, as Lyon are said to value the frontman, who scored 23 goals last season, at £5.5m.
