Derby County are set to bolster their ranks with the double-signing of Jordan Rhodes and Henri Lansbury, according to Sun journalist Tom Barclay.
The Rams are looking to bolster their bid for a return to the top-flight this season and moving for Rhodes, who is out of favour at Middlesbrough, and Lansbury, who’s coming to the end of his contract with Nottingham Forest, would significantly improve their chances of promotion.
According to the reports, Derby are close to signing both players and they could arrive ahead of a crucial run of fixtures in January, in which the Rams face the likes of Norwich City, Leeds United and Reading.

Rhodes could well be the arrival that propels Derby to promotion as he’s proven his worth in the Championship previously with Middlesbrough and Blackburn, before falling out of favour on Teesside following the arrival of Alvaro Negredo in the summer.
Meanwhile, Lansbury is a thoroughly experienced Championship midfielder and has made close to 150 appearances for Nottingham Forest- but his current deal at the City Ground expires at the end of the season.
Currently sat seventh in the Championship standings, one point behind Sheffield Wednesday, the Rams have enjoyed sublime form since the end of October as they’ve won eight of nine matches and have not lost since being narrowly defeated by Huddersfield Town two months ago.
