Derby County agree record fee for Bristol City hitman

Derby County are on the verge of completing the signing of Bristol City striker Jonathan Kodjia for a record-deal, according to the Bristol Post.

The Bristol City striker has not been included in today’s home clash with Aston Villa and looks to be on his way to the IPro stadium for a fee of £10 million and rising to £14 million with a add on clause.

Kodjia will travel to the IPro stadium to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical in the next few days.

This comes as Derby look set to relieve Chris Martin of his duties as Fulham look to weigh up a deal for the experienced striker.

Kodjia finished as Bristol City’s top scorer last season – netting 20 goals in his first season in English football.

The deal is expected to be completed over the weekend and Bristol City will have until Wednesday to find a replacement for their prolific top scorer.

Derby and Bristol fans.. What do you make of the news? Good business for both clubs? Will he replicate his eye for goal with Derby? Let us know in your thoughts and opinions below!
