Glen Kamara is a wanted man this summer but it looks as though it's going to be tough for anyone to prise him away from Dundee.

The Finnish international has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign north of the border and according to HITC earlier this month, the likes of Derby and Glasgow pairing Celtic and Rangers are keen on him.

However, any designs they, or any other side for that matter, have on signing him may prove a challenge to achieve as Neil McCann is evidently ready to try and keep him at Dundee as much as possible.

As quoted by the Herald, McCann had this to say about his in-demand star:

“I want to be stronger next year but I don’t want Glen Kamara to go anywhere and I tell you right now, Glen will be going nowhere unless it’s right for this club and I mean that it will need to be some serious cash."

The former footballer is clearly steadfast in wanting a good deal before he lets the youngster go and he does have every right to be as Dundee look to compete as well they can in Scotland.

The Verdict

Whoever signs him will have to pay a decent figure by the looks of things, then.

With Derby potentially set to tighten the purse-strings this summer, though, and Rangers' finances - though talked up - still yet to be truly demonstrated, it could be Celtic that have the best chance of getting him.
