Derby County captain Richard Keogh is wanted by Premier League sides Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
Keogh was the mainstay of the Derby County defence on their march to the Championship play-off final at Wembley Stadium last month, a game which ended in heartache for Keogh who’s attempted clearance in stoppage time ended at the feet of Bobby Zamora who slotted home.
Steve McLaren will be keen to keep the Republic Of Ireland international as part of the Derby County team, as he looks to avenge that defeat with a challenge for next season’s Championship title.
Keogh is a fans favourite at Pride Park, who admire his no-nonsense approach to defending as he always puts his body in the way of the ball, and is always one hundred per cent committed to the cause.
Keogh signed for Derby County in 2012 from Coventry City and has been a near ever-present since.
It’s also reported that newly promoted Burnley are interested in the defender.
