Derby County head coach Steve McClaren believes his side will get back in their rhythm after suffering their first defeat of the season at Charlton Athletic last night.

The Rams lost 3-2 to the Addicks last night, conceding their first goals of the season. McClaren says it was making too many mistakes that cost his side claiming anything at The Valley.

Talking to the Derby Telegraph, McClaren said ”It’s early season and we haven’t found rhythm yet. In certain areas we were good and certain areas we were poor. There’s no consistency of performance but that’s normal at this time of the season.”

McClaren is not panicking and believes the team will improve. ”We are consistently inconsistent” said the Derby boss after the match. ”I have no worries. I have said to the group, there are no worries at the present moment, we will get better.”

Derby face Fulham at home on Saturday who haven’t picked up any points so far this season after two games. Fulham face Wolves away tonight.
