Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham are among a plethora of Championship clubs chasing a deal for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Tom Cairney, according to FLW sources.
The 24-year-old has had a very impressive season at Blackburn and after 39 appearances he scored three times and made five assists, and FLW understands a host of clubs are keeping tabs on his situation.
The former Hull City star is renowned for his versatility and can play in central midfield and on the right wing.
Fulham are after him as they aim to rebuild their squad ahead of next season, after an atrocious return to the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League.
Derby are looking to add to their squad in order to mount a promotion challenge next year after a really, really poor season in the Championship, which saw them drop from first to seventh within a matter of months.
Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday are looking to spend their new funds invested by their new Thai owners. Stuart Gray is looking to amount a promotion challenge with his side next year and Cairney could be the man who can help him achieve that.
