Former Charlton Athletic chairman Matt Southall has claimed he has three groups of investors waiting to inject funds into the club when majority shareholder Tahnoon Nimer steps aside.

This comes after Nimer sanctioned the removal of Southall from his position as Addicks chairman on Friday, with the Syrian businessman having accused Southall of misusing the club's funds since the takeover in January.

Southall released a series of statements denying these allegations which first emerged around two weeks ago, with the former agent having instead accused Nimer of failing to provide evidence of his funds since his arrival at The Valley.

However, it appeared as though Nimer won the boardroom tussle with Southall as he removed the chairman from the club, but Southall has now taken to Twitter to direct a further threat at Nimer and his position as majority shareholder.

Southall has claimed there is nothing he can do at present after being "unlawfully removed' from the club, but he affirmed that he has three investment groups waiting to step in when Nimer admits to his alleged lack of funding.
