Reading's Charlie Adam is out-of-contract in the summer.

The 34-year-old joined Reading on a one year deal in the summer, having been released from Stoke City.

He's played in 15 of Reading's 30 games in the Championship so far but found himself exiled under previous manager Jose Gomes - the Portuguese used the Scot sporadically, but Mark Bowen has since given him a chance.

Since Bowen's appointment, Adam has won over many a Reading fan.

His experience in the heart of the pitch has made him one of the Royals' best players on his day, and he's chipped in with some important goals too.

Now though, with less than half-a-year left on his contract at the Madejski, should Bowen consider renewing it?

We asked Reading fans of the Facebook group 'Reading FC 1871', and here's what they had to say:

Paul R West: Give him a player/coach role.

Bryan Lowe: His experience is worth another season to bring on the younger academy players coming through.

Joe Gregson: Yes, he's definitely worth keeping. He's done lots for us this season. Think he's a good person to have in the squad too with his experience.

Melanie Bishop: I believe so, a steadying and experienced influence, especially on those whose concentration goes AWOL. He somehow manages to refocus them on the job at hand.

Christine Mobey: Yes he would be a great asset to the up and coming youngsters in our team, go on Reading give him another season.

Jonathan Tuco Olmos: Great signing by Gomes, shame he never played him, if he did he might have kept his job.

Mark Townsend: Definitely been a star. His passing ability is second to none, runs like a carthorse but 10/10.
