With over a third of he Championship season complete it has already been a campaign to remember, with numerous changes at both the top and bottom of the table and a feeling that no one side will run away with the title, or is already doomed to relegation.
But from the 24 sides in the Championship, which team is over-achieving so far this season?
I’ll say Norwich.
They are top of the league and few expected them to be given their exits in the summer but they have played very well.
QPR are also worth a mention whilst I’ve been impressed with Blackburn too.
At the moment I would have to say QPR.
Before the seasons started the London side were tipped to struggle, or even be relegated.
And after losing their first four games in a row they have only lost three of their last 14 matches.
The job Steve McClaren is doing at Loftus Road is remarkable with the budget they currently have.
QPR are only two points off the play-offs, it’s crazy to think they were doomed to relegated two months ago.
They have been superb in recent weeks and Steve McClaren has galvanised the R’s dressing room and they are now looking like a very organised, efficient outfit.
You have to mention Norwich too, they have been fantastic despite not being mentioned much by the bookmakers at the start of the season as potential promotion candidates.
