Many Derby County fans have taken to Facebook to discuss whether they would welcome a move for former striker Matej Vydra.

According to LancsLive, the Czech Republic international is reportedly seeking a move away from Burnley this month with Birmingham City thought to be interested in signing him.

Vydra, who joined the Clarets for £11m in 2018, enjoyed a fruitful two-year spell with Derby in the second-tier  before opting to make the switch to Turf Moor.

As well as providing his team-mates with five assists, the forward scored 27 goals in all competitions for the Rams.

Since stepping up to the Premier League, Vydra has ultimately failed to deliver the goods for Burnley.

Limited to just 19 appearances in the top-flight due to the presence of Chris Wood, Jay Rodriguez and Ashley Barnes, the 27-year-old has only managed to score once.

With a place in the Czech Republic side for Euro 2020 potentially at stake, a move to a club who can guarantee him regular playing time could boost his chances of being selected by manager Jaroslav Silhavy.
