Birmingham City will be looking to end a six-game winless run when they travel to take on Huddersfield Town tonight.

Lee Bowyer's side had a good start to the season but their poor form now means they go into the clash sitting in 19th position.

Despite the bleak outlook currently, there were positives to take from the performance against high-flying West Brom on Friday, where Blues warranted something out of the game.

With that in mind, major changes aren't expected against the Terriers, and here we look at the XI Bowyer could go with...

Matija Sarkic is the number one right now, and we expect a similar defensive unit to the one that started on Friday night, meaning skipper Harlee Dean misses out once again, as George Friend, Marc Roberts and Dion Sanderson make up the back three.

Unfortunately for Bowyer, one change he has to make is replacing the reliable Maxime Colin, who picked up an injury against Albion, which could keep him out for a while.

If Bowyer wants to be defensive, he could shift Sanderson to the right wing-back role, but as this is a game he will feel the team can win, Jeremie Bela should start, even if it's not his natural role. He will provide more attacking threat and Sanderson's pace makes him ideal cover down that flank for the wide man, whilst Kristian Pedersen will start at left wing-back.

Another change could see Ryan Woods return, with his quality on the ball needed in a game where Blues will look to have more possession than they did on Friday. Ivan Sunjic deserves his spot in the XI, so Gary Gardner could revert to the bench.

Going forward, Tahith Chong is an easy pick as he is one of few players in the squad that's capable of producing moments of brilliance.

Up top though, there is a dilemma for the manager. Scott Hogan's ability to get in behind means he has to start, and after surprisingly not using Troy Deeney at all against West Brmo, it might be time for him to start ahead of Lukas Jutkiewicz.

The 33-year-old hasn't shone since joining the club but this could be the sort of game he needs to get his, and Blues', season firing.
