Brentford are building a reputation for bringing in prospective youth talents from across the country and abroad, growing and developing them into excellent players.

The Bees haven't shied away from the transfer window either; bringing in four imminent arrivals so far, including highly-respected goalkeeper Luke Daniels and right-back Henrik Dalsgaard moving from Belgium.

Their acquisitions also involve a duo of promising teenagers from Scotland as Alistair Coote and Theo Archibald aim to make an impact on the first-team, but will remain in the club's reserves for the time being.

Admittedly, showcasing this much intent early on in the summer proves that they mean business in the league next term and could mount a surprising challenge for the top-six.

In my opinion, it is not all about incomings and I think the Championship outfit should aim to utilise more of the talent already in the ranks throughout the 2017/18 campaign.

Here are TWO Brentford fringe players that manager Dean Smith must give a chance to shine in their pre-season schedule.....

Justin Shaibu

The rising Danish talent is thought to be worthy of first-team football at Griffin Park and has made brief appearances for the Bees, since signing last summer from his homeland.

Justin Shaibu, initially a prominent figure in the club's B-team, was promoted to the senior squad after impressing but failed to play in the four opportunities he was given last year under Dean Smith.

At just 19 years-old, Shaibu has lots of promise ahead of him and the boss needs to give in a chance to come into fruition in his pre-season friendlies in the coming month.

Josh McEachran

Once tipped to be a full-time England international by now, Josh McEachran's career has not progressed as much as he'd have liked.

He was forced to play second fiddle under Dean Smith and that could have frustrated him to some extent, but his chance will come, there is no doubt about it.

Now the gaffer has to present an opportunity to the 24-year-old which he can take and thrive in the forthcoming pre-season to truly showcase his real talent become an integral part of the Bees' first-team.
