The play-offs are heating up, not that Chris Wilder's Sheffield United will care.

The Blades snatched automatic promotion to the Premier League right out of Leeds United's hands in the dying embers of the season, following a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town at Bramall Lane.

Now, Chris Wilder will be preparing for life in the top-flight, whilst his players will be away celebrating, after what has been a sensational campaign for the Yorkshire club.

Plenty expected United to improve on their 10th place finish in the 2017/18 campaign, but the Blades certainly exceeded expectations when finishing just behind Norwich to claim 2nd spot this term.

Dean Henderson has been a player that has been a revelation since joining on loan from Manchester United - the 22-year old has been an everpresent for the Blades this season, and the Bramall Lane faithful will be urging the club to do all they can to sign him again next season.

The goalkeeper

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has recently admitted that it "might be best" for Henderson to return to Sheffield United next season, so Blades fans will be hoping that the shot-stopper can spend a lot longer with his teammates next season.

The Verdict

It's good to see Sheffield United players celebrating after what has been a fantastic season.

The unity and togetherness in that squad is there for all to see, and it will be beneficial for them as they look to keep their place in the Premier League next term.

I think the Blades will re-sign Henderson on loan for another season, after a remarkable season at Bramall Lane last time out.
