Deal Off: Norwich City striker set to stay with club after Premier League switch falls through

Norwich City striker Steven Naismith’s transfer deadline day switch to Sunderland has been called off, after all parties failed to agree on the terms of a deal, according to The Daily Record.

This morning it had been thought that the Scotland international would make a £4 million move to the Stadium of Light to hook up once again with David Moyes, who Naismith worked with at Everton.

The deal now looks to be dead which is a blow to the Black Cats who were keen to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window slammed shut.

Naismith now looks to turn his attentions back towards the Canaries who will look to make a genuine attempt to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking, after relegation from the top flight last season.

The 29-year-old has netted once this season for Alex Neil’s men and the latest developments mean that Moyes must look elsewhere for a new reinforcement ahead of the 11pm deadline.

Norwich City fans, are you happy that Naismith is set to stay at Carrow Road? Will you sign anyone before the cut off? Let us know in the comments below!!!
