Deal Off: Fulham move for Premier League keeper collapses

Fulham will not sign Crystal Palace goalkeeper Alex McCarthy in this transfer window, according to Sky Sports.

McCarthy was linked with a 93-day loan to the Cottagers, and it is believed that Alan Pardew was happy to see him leave temporarily.

Sky Sports reports that McCarthy travelled across the capital to Fulham’s training ground and passed a medical, but couldn’t agree personal terms.

Fulham may not be so disappointed with this move collapsing as they have plenty of cover in the position, with Andy Lonergan, Marcus Bettinelli and Joe Lewis currently signed on at the club.

However, Slavisa Jokanovic may well be doubtful of the quality of those players – Fulham have on of the leakiest defences in the league, conceding 48 goals in their 28 games this season, currently in 19th place.

Fulham fans, what do you think? Are you disappointed the move has fallen through? Will this cost you your Sky Bet Championship status? Let us know below!
