The Terriers had pursued the 24-year-old during the January transfer window but had several offers turned down, yet now the West Yorkshire outfit look finally set to land their man on loan for the rest of the season.
The Dutchman had a loan spell at Brighton and Hove Albion earlier this season, where he scored twice in six appearances after falling down the pecking order at Wolves, but his performances for the Seagulls saw him win back a place in Kenny Jackett’s plans.
He played in nine matches after returning to the Molineux, but has not featured in Jackett’s squad for the last two matches against Derby County and Middlesbrough, thus alerting Huddersfield to his availability.
Van La Parra endured wrath from Wolves fans two weeks ago after a comment he made on social media which the winger has since apologised for.
Huddersfield have lost their last two matches, both without scoring, and manager David Wagner is keen to bolster his attacking options before the loan window closes.
The Terriers currently sit seven points above the bottom three, and Wagner will be aiming to get back to winning ways when Reading visit the John Smith’s Stadium on Tuesday night.
Wolves fans… what do you make of the news? Would you be happy to see van La Parra leave? Do you think the winger would be a good signing Huddersfield fans? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
