Deal Close: Wolves set to seal multi-million pound deal for 6ft 2 striker

Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers are closing in on a deal to sign Anderlecht striker Idrissa Sylla, according to the Express and Star.

The 25-year-old has played for four clubs in six years in a career full of heavy movement, having been grown in the Le Mans academy in France, where he made 52 appearances before a move to Zulte Waregem in 2013.

He’s a Guinea international having made 14 appearances for the African side, making his debut in 2012 against Cameroon, and has scored two goals.

Sylla signed for Belgian side Anderlecht last summer and scored six goals for the side despite them having a very disappointing season overall, finish third in the Pro League.

He’s now on the verge of a £2.3 million move to the Midlands, as Wolves look to replenish their squad ahead of next year after a hugely disappointing year.

They lost Benik Afobe to Bournemouth in a £10 million deal, having already lost Nouha Dicko to a heavy injury earlier in the season, and could use added goals in their side.

Wolves fans… What do you make of this news? Is Sylla a good signing? Are you surprised at how much money you’re spending on him? Can he get goals? Let us know in the comments below!
