HITC Sport are reporting that Championship club Rotherham United have agreed a deal to sign young Tottenham Hotspur defender Dominic Ball on a three-year deal.
Stubbs has made it no secret that he has been keen to add to his defence and it appears that he is finally going to get his man, the 21-year-old defender was on loan at Scottish giants Rangers last season, and made 30 appearances en route to picking up the Scottish Championship title.
Alan Stubbs who was Hibernian manager last season was clearly impressed by Ball during his time at Rangers, and has worked quickly to snap him amid interest that Rangers were keen to take him back north of the border.
Ball is highly regarded at Tottenham Hotspur but they have made the decision to let him continue his development elsewhere, with him falling further and further down the pecking order at White Hart Lane.
Ball is a player of obvious potential and has been capped by Northern Ireland right the way through from under-15 level to under-21 level.
He then switched allegiance to England for whom he has been capped at both under-19 and 20 level.
Millers fans what do you make of this news, is he the calibre of player you need? Let us know what you think!
