Ex-Nottingham Forest defender Danny Collins set to be announced as the latest signing for Steve Evans at Rotherham United.
HITC Sport are reporting that the central defender who left the Reds in the summer following the expiry of his contract, is set to pen a deal at the New York Stadium.
The former Wales international was placed on the transfer list by ex-Forest boss Stuart Pearce at the start of last season but was offered a reprieve upon Dougie Freedman’s arrival at the City Ground.
He was used in Freedman’s first eight games during February and March but then lost his place in the side following the return to fitness of regular centre-back pairing Jack Hobbs and Kelvin Wilson.
Collins will become the fourth arrival to the South Yorkshire club this summer following Lewis Buxton, Aidan White and Joe Mattock through the entrance door.
The ball-playing defender lists Sunderland, Stoke City and West Ham United among his former employers.
