Queens Park Rangers are set to sign defender Gabrielle Angella on a season-long loan deal from Watford, according to Standard.
Angella is set to have a medical this morning after QPR agreed a deal with Watford and thrashed out personal terms with the player yesterday.
The 26-year old joined Watford two years ago from Udinese, but has not played in any of the Hornets’ four opening Premier League games and was not part of the squad that lost to Manchester City on Saturday.
Former Italy under-21 international Angella, only signed a new five-year contract earlier this summer, but it seems that he is not part of Quique Sanchez Flores’ plans this season, as Watford look to reduce the size of their squad.
Angella played 36 games for Watford last season during their promotion campaign and has made 82 appearances during his time at the London club, scoring 11 goals.
Chris Ramsay’s QPR currently sit in fourth place in the Sky Bet Championship, having won three, drawn one and lost one out of their opening five league fixtures.
