QPR are set to sign Burton Albion forward Nasser El Khayati, according to West London Sport.
It is believed the R’s have had a bid in the region of £350k accepted by the League One high-flyers, and he is now set for a medical at Loftus Road after agreeing personal terms.
Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be delighted to have got the signing over the line after chasing him for most of the window.
Hasselbaink managed El Khayati during his successful stint at the Pirelli Stadium before he moved to QPR.
On the other hand it will be a blow to Nigel Clough, who will see one of his best players move on the final day leaving little time to find a replacement.
The Dutch player, who can player across the front or out wide, should add another dimension to the QPR attack, and with results just beginning to pick up after Hasselbaink got his first win against Rotherham, he joins at the ideal time.
He has scored 11 goals this season as Burton have enjoyed unexpected success and are in with a very realistic shout of winning automatic promotion.
QPR take on Ipswich this weekend, where El Khayati could make his debut.
