Deal Close: Oxford finally agree deal for want-away Motherwell star

Oxford United have agreed a deal to sign Motherwell winger Marvin Johnson, according to HITC.
The winger has now been allowed to travel to the Kassam Stadium to discuss a deal and have a medical, which means this could be one deal that goes all the way to the 11pm deadline.
The 25-year-old has done excellently since he joined from Kidderminster in February 2015, being involved in 13 goals in his 38 Premiership games last season and has enjoyed a prolific start to this season.
He scored three goals and claimed three assists in his five Scottish League Cup appearances, including a hand in all three goals in the 3-1 win over Annan in July.
He also has a goal and an assist from his Premiership campaign, but handed in a transfer request earlier this week due to personal reasons.
His prolific streak has earned him plenty of plaudits north and south of the border, and has been a target of Michael Appleton’s all summer.
Oxford fans, what do you think? Will Johnson be a good signing for your team? Let us know your opinions below!
