Nottingham Forest look to have won the race to sign highly-rated Dutch midfielder Kyle Ebecilio from FC Twente, according to HITC Sport.
The 21-year-old has been the subject of a large amount of interest from both Premier League and Championship clubs but now looks set to join the Reds on a season-long loan.
The news will offer a further boost to Forest, the day after captain and playmaker Henri Lansbury pledged his loyalty to the club and announced that he would be staying at the club.
Ebicilio is a former Arsenal youth team player but left the Emirates Stadium in 2013 without making a first-team appearance.
In two seasons in the Eredivisie he has made 60 appearances and scored 10 goals from central midfield and has helped himself to nine Holland Under-21 caps along the way.
Despite being an unknown quantity to many in the UK, Ebecilio’s age and his experience in a demanding league could see him develop into a real prospect under Dougie Freedman’s management.
Forest will also hold a clause which allows them to buy the player at the end of the loan spell provided their transfer embargo is lifted.
