Liverpool have accepted a £2.5m bid from Championship side Norwich City for academy prospect Sergi Canos, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The 19-year-old Spaniard impressed in the second tier last season after spending the campaign at Brentford and he has attracted interest from a number of clubs this summer.
Norwich’s Championship rivals Bristol City also had a bid accepted for Canos and a deal was thought to be close, only for the player to delay the move after hearing of interest from Alex Neil’s side.
Altohugh highly-rated on Merseyside, Liverpool are willing to sell Canos after negotiations over a new contract broke down with player demanding around £10,000 a week, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Given the players eagerness to speak to Norwich, a move should move quickly and he is expected to complete a move to Carrow Road should there be no late complications.
The move will be a big blow for Bristol City and Brentford, who were interested in re-signing the playmaker, as Canos appears to favour a move to East Anglia.
Should the move be completed, it will be the first deal completed by Norwich since their relegation from the Premier League.
