Fulham are on the verge of completing a deal for Austrian defender Michael Madl, according to the 27-year-old’s current club (via Talksport).
Sturm Graz has announced that Madl, who has featured 18 times in the league this season, is on his way to London for a medical with the Championship side after the two clubs agreed a fee.
The Cottagers, who recently appointed Slavisa Jokanovic as manager, have struggled defensively this season, keeping a league-low three clean sheets, while letting in 48 goals – only Rotherham and Charlton have conceded more often.
Madl, who has one goal and an assist to his name this season, has been a regular in the league for Graz since joining the side in 2012.
The west London outfit currently sit in 19th place in the Sky Bet Championship, having amassed 28 points from 28 league games.
Fulham face an incredibly tricky match against high-flyers Derby County at Craven Cottage in their next league fixture.
