Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul is currently having a medical at Vicarage Road ahead of a proposed move to Watford on deadline day, according to the Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper is currently on loan at Ajax but it is expected that the Dutch goalkeeper will leave St James’ Park permanently to join Walter Mazzarri’s Watford.
Watford are desperately searching for a goalkeeper on deadline day after Costel Pantillimon sustained an ankle injury, which will see the Romanian goalkeeper sidelined for a month.
Tim Krul – who has been linked with a move to the Premier League throughout this transfer window – is now expected to leave Newcastle United after eight years at the club.
The move is expected to go through in the next few hours unless there is an issue with the Dutch goalkeeper’s medical.
