Championship newcomers Burnley look to have won the race to sign sought-after striker Andre Gray for £9 million, according to talkSPORT.
The Brentford striker has been the subject of intense speculation throughout the summer months but now looks to have finally settled on a club.
The 24-year-old was the subject of an accepted £9 million bid from Bristol City but the player declined the move, and it was thought that he was going to hold out for a move to Hull City.
After Steve Bruce pretty much ruled out signing the talisman yesterday, Sean Dyche has pounced and the player is in advanced talks with the Turf Moor outfit.
Gray netted 18 goals last season as the Bees secured a play-off place and despite wanting to keep one of their prized assets, the fee is simply too good to turn down for the Londoners.
The Clarets have been desperate to bolster their squad this summer and Gray will act as a direct replacement for Danny Ings, who departed for Liverpool in the summer.
Should Gray complete the move today he could make his debut tomorrow as Burnley take on his former club Brentford at Turf Moor.
The ex-Luton Town forward will add an element of firepower and potency to the Clarets, and will definitely make them prime contenders to attain promotion to the Premier League this season.
